In addition to that I find it very usefull, to be able to send Reminders (E-Mails) for announcements.
A little bit about the background of this idea/request:
In our old system, we did not only publish documents but we created a seperate page for every document (or sometimes multiple documents). At this page we could attach the documents we want to publish, as well as a text that describes what to do with the document (print it and take it into the helicopter or change with an old revision, etc.). This is of course not possible with webmanuals, so we are using announcements for this issue. Announcements are great because we can write a text and attach a document that is already published in webmanuals. The problem is, that the Users not always read our announcements because first of all, they are not used to it and secondly they often think is is not that importan. If we were able to send an Email Reminder for certain announcements (as it is possible with documents), it would lead to more acceptance :)

We agree that filtering users in the User Performance of the Announcement would be helpful. I have created an improvement ticket MANUALS-7032. I will send you a ticket as well so I can follow up if it gets implemented.
Regarding the email function, this is not something we are considering for now as the main goal of this function is to send information directly in Web Manuals and use the color codes not to miss important content. We are trying to reduce email notifications so users don't ignore important messages if they receive too many emails.

thank you for creating the improvement ticket. :) Filtering/search functions are usefull in every view regarding the Users. Also while selecting the users that should be notified for review or when I set a document owner, I often struggle because
Also I agree that less email notifications make sense.
