Flight Crew Notice (FCN) Creation and Export for CAA reviews
Hi
Does anyone in the WM community deal with the UK CAA?
We are new to Webmanuals and our CAA inspector has yet to sign up to using it.
Is there a process for creating and sending an FCN to the CAA from Webmanals when there has been a small change in the manual?
If you do work with the UK CAA , would you happy for us to make contact for some much needed guidance?
Many thanks

Hi Alison,
We have given our CAA Flight Ops Inspector a reader/reviewer account and role so that he receives the crew document change notification along with our crews. Seems to work well. Happy to discuss further.
Best regards,
Pete
Hi Pete, thanks for your message.
We are fairly new to Webmanuals and just implementing the system. Our CAA Inspector has said they don't want a log in and prefers to use the old method of FCN forms.
I am just trying to figure out how to take pages from a manual, showing the changes, and put the pages into either another webmanuals document (in the design of an FCN form) or another option.
The aim is to extract the information from Webmanuals into a PDF that highlights the changes (before and after) which I can send to the CAA.
Any suggestions would be helpful or if you are available on Teams we could book something in.
Many thanks Alison
Hi Alison,
Thanks for using the Community Forum. Great to see the sharing between users!
One way to achieve this is to export the Transmittal Letter, that in combination with the previous revision will provide what you are looking for. This will generate a PDF with select content. Some features are aimed at supporting printing, and you select which are relevant to you when generating the Transmittal Letter
However the Word-by-Word comparison is only achieved through the WM interface.
Kind Regards,
Jonas
Hi Jonas, thanks for this suggestion. I hadn't thought of that but will try it out.
Have a good day.
