Managing OM effective dates and crew review time in WebManuals (IOSA FLT 1.6.1)
Hello WM community,
We recently received a finding during an IOSA audit (FLT 1.6.1 – Table 1.1) indicating that flight crews must be given enough time to review and take into account major OM changes before they become effective.
I was wondering how you are handling this in practice. From our side, when we publish a new edition, for example Ed 2.1, it automatically replaces the previous one (Ed 2.0) and becomes effective immediately, which makes it difficult to apply such a delay.
What IOSA expects is that Edition 2.1 is sent to the crews a few days before its effective date, while Edition 2.0 remains effective during that transition period. How can this be handled in WebManuals? How do you manage this on your side?
Many thanks in advance for your help and feedback.

This can be achieved by setting a "time limited" availability for the new revision and allowing it to be viewed prior to effective date.

Hello,
Thank you for your guidance on this topic. It helped me resolve an issue I had been trying to address.
I have applied your advice to our documentation, and I can now view both revisions through the PC Reader module. However, I would like to know whether it is also possible to view both versions in the WM Reader application.
Thank you again for your support.
Kind regards,
