Table / Image index module

  • Current situation:
Currently, my team uses level 6 headings along with heading number aliases to customize table titles and generate hyperlinks. However, since it is not possible to filter by a single heading level, we are forced to manually enter the page numbers.
  • Proposed solution: 

Develop a module that:

  1. Supports a dedicated table heading type (separate from standard headings), or
  2. Allows filtering headings specifically tagged as “tables”

This module should automatically generate a table index, include automatic page numbering and support hyperlinks to each table. 

I've attached an example image of what the module would look like for your reference.
