Behvaviour of Review Comments changed to the worse (especially "rejected" pages)
We have had an issue with Review Comments (that were made when rejecting a page) not being visible anymore in later stages of the workflow, especially to reviewers. The WM support team explained this as follows:
"Rejecting a page takes a page completely out of the workflow. The comment is also supposed to be for the editors, and by drafting the rejected page, the comment disappears from the Reader portal.
The Editors can see the comments at all times. "
Our opinion differs, and is the following:
While I see that rejecting a page (momentarily) takes it out of the workflow, I see no point for "rejection comments" to behave differently: The page is eventually re-injected into the workflow when the reason for the reject is corrected. So for tracking/verification of the correction of the (original) reason for rejection, it would be paramount that all comments remain visible to everyone (at least in their assigned workflow steps).
Please re-instate an option for these comments to be visible again to everyone in the Review process.
This was the way it worked earlier. And back then, all review comments were also visible to all reviewers, even when a page was not in their status. Which was crucial for their general overview. Now however, if a page is in a status waiting for approval by the authorities, our internal Compliance team can not see the review comments anymore, which would be needed for them when wanting to double-check stuff. So we would highly appreciate bringing this back, or at least giving us an option to do so.
We work with Review Comments a lot, and these changes that were made, render it very useless in multiple cases.
Thank you very much and kind regards
