Announcements
The new Announcements function is very helpful and cool! It can make our work easier and we don't have to create a new document, just to share some information with the flight crews.
However, there are a few ideas to make the function more effective:
1. E-mail notification: It would be very helpful, if the users would be notified when there is a new announcement. Otherwise they will only know about it if they log in to Webmauals.
2. Webmanuals App: This function needs to be implemented in the Webmanuals application for the tablet. Users rarely log in on the browser. Otherwise they will never know that there is a new announcement.
3. When clicking on "open document" or on a link in the text: When clicking on either of these, a new tab has to open. Right now the same site will just show the document. This leads the user to close the tab and therefore close Webmanuals completely. Only if the user knows that he has to click on the back button, he will come back.
I hope this helps to understand the user side better on this function. Would be nice, if the function can be updated accordingly.

I agree with this suggestion! I would like to add that it would be useful to be able to track who has not reviewed the announcement. I noticed we could see who has reviewed, but with many employees, it would be difficult to narrow down who has not from that information. A list like the one in the documents "Control" tab would be really useful.
