Distribution Categories - Multiple Documents Selection

One year ago Bruno Quadros Rodrigues added a very nice post about distribution categories and how to improve it.
Where you able to do anything about it?
In order to prevent loads of work for the admin, when having to move big amounts of documents from category A to category B, it would be perfect, if there would be a function that allows the admin to select multiple documents and change the distribution categories for all of them at the same time.
We all know that there is a safety issue involved in this case, because no document cannot be without a category. But the safety can be kept, if the function allows the user to only select new categories and deselect the category, from where they need to be moved from. All other categories that one or more of the selected documents is in, will not be effected from this.

I have found an already existing improvement that has been in our system for quite some time. I have asked the development and product team to reconsider this improvement as more and more users are asking for it.

I got stuck having to do this the other day...I had over 40 documents that needed to be shifted from one category into another and had to do it one by one. What a time saver it would be if I could have selected them all together and moved as one.

Did this get any traction? I am currently setting up a complete new EFB folder for our crew, and having to select every document one by one is very tedious.
Would be great if anyone has come up with a way to make this more efficient.

Hi Amanda,
If you just need to move folders and don't need to duplicate the documents, you can change a folder's parent folder. You click on the three dots on the folder name and hit edit. On the dialog box in the top left you can change the parent folder quite easily.
You will just have to add new role permissions to the folder again.
If You're duplicating the documents in a new distro category, I couldn't find a fast way to do it...

Hopefully something considered by the product development team soon.
