Creating a New Revision of an OEM/Multifile PDF Manual

New Revisions of Multifile PDF/OEM documents are created by uploading an entirely new master PDF File, OR by replacing one of the individual files that make up your Multifile PDF Document.

Replacing the Entire Manual

  1. Go to the top left-hand corner of the Editor window and click on either the Green Create new revision button or the Blue revision information button.

  2. A settings window will appear (pictured below) with Revision settings (ex. Revision name and Date).
  3. In the settings window, fill out the fields (if you do not use Issue, you don't have to fill this field in).
  4. Click Select File(s)/.zip-file or Select Folders; upload the file.
  5. Once you upload your file, a new Analyze files button will appear. Click on this button.
  6. Once the File’s information populates, click Save. This will replace the entire Multifile PDF/OEM file with the new one you just uploaded.

Adding Individual Files:

If you have a large OEM/MultiFile PDF, but only certain Files within it have changed, you can create a new Revision and add them to it, rather than replacing the entire Document. Below are the instructions to do so.

  1. Go to the top left-hand corner of the Editor window and click on either the Green Create new revision button or the Blue Revision information button.
  2. A settings window will appear (pictured above) with Revision settings (ex. Revision name and Date).
  3. In the settings window, fill out the fields (if you do not use Issue, you don't have to fill this field in).
  4. Click the box that says Temporary Revision.
  5. Check the Only Add Updated Files button. This will prompt the system to add only the new or updated files inside the larger PDF to this new Revision; it will leave all other files unchanged.
  6. Once the File’s information populates, click Save. This will add the new files to the larger OEM/MultiFile PDF Document, and leave all others as they were.
